Voices of the Public

During the summer of 2012, a group of D.C. high school and college students participating in the Summer Youth Employment Program helped the Office on Latino Affairs spread the word about the city’s groundbreaking Language Access Act. They took to the streets, handing out information about the law to members of the District’s large and diverse immigrant community. The youths also conducted video interviews to find out what local residents think about the law. Here’s what people had to say:
